Help a Child in Halton to have a Merry Christmas!
Halton Christmas Toy Appeal
Caring for our community,
one gift at a time since 2013
You Can Bring Christmas Magic to Widnes and Runcorn with the Halton Christmas Toy Appeal!
Over the past 10 years, we’ve brought Christmas joy to 5,649 children – and last year alone, we helped 1,190 children and provided 252 hampers to families in need.
This year, we’re aiming even higher, and with YOUR help, we can make it our biggest year yet! We’re preparing food hampers to ensure disadvantaged families can enjoy a Christmas dinner together, with enough food to last through the festive period.
Every child deserves a present to open on Christmas morning, and our Toy Appeal is open NOW to make sure no child is left out.
You can help by donating or dropping off a new, unopened toy at one of our drop-off points.
We couldn’t do any of this without the incredible support of our community, sponsors, and drop-off points.
Together, we can make this Christmas unforgettable for local children and families.
This Christmas, the Halton Christmas Toy Appeal aims to help 1,211 local children by providing toys to open on Christmas Day.
We support children in 2 refuges, foodbanks, schools, churches, children’s centres, and respond to individual family requests. We also supply toys for Santa to give out at St. Paul’s Church, which hosts a Christmas dinner for over 200 families.
In addition, we are preparing 255 food hampers to provide Christmas dinner essentials and enough food to see families through the festive period.
Help us make this Christmas special for families in need—donate toys or sponsor a food hamper today!

How it started…
The Halton Christmas Toy Appeal Story
After splitting with my partner I had no money to my name. It was close to Christmas and I desperately needed help.
I searched high and low so that I could give my children a present to open on Christmas Day and found that there were no local organisations or charities that could help me.
It was so stressful, the thought of Christmas day with no presents for my children to open was unbearable. I struggled massively, not knowing where to turn. Luckily a family member stepped in and helped.
Looking back after Christmas I couldn’t believe that there was no help available in Halton for families in this situation. Every organisation that I spoke to were unable to help.
I promised myself that when I got back on my feet again I would start a toy appeal to help provide Christmas presents for local children who would otherwise go without.
We have gone from strength to strength helping underprivileged Halton children and families along the way.
Please find it in your heart to help families less fortunate at Christmas.
